Motor Vehicle Accident (MVAs)

What is an MVA claim?

MVA stands for “motor vehicle accident”.  Car accident clients can access motor vehicle accident coverage by filing a claim with their insurance company. These claims help people who have suffered from injuries due to an accident. Acting quickly ensures receiving timely medical attention and securing your entitled motor vehicle accident benefits.

What treatments help a motor vehicle accident injury?

Physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, and chiropractic treatments all have their benefit for someone who has been injured in a car accident.

What should I do after I've been in an accident?

Step 1
See a physician and file a police report.  After finding yourself in an accident, the accident should be reported to your insurance company and the police. Your insurance adjustor will be assigned your case and they will give you a guideline to follow in order to start a motor vehicle accident claim.

Step 2
See a prescribing practitioner. Prescribing practitioners are physiotherapists or chiropractors and a treatment plan form called an “AB-2” must be filled out by a one of these professions in order to begin treatments covered by your auto insurance provider. These forms are done at a new patient initial assessment.

The number of treatments will be approved based on your level of injury, these treatments can include acupuncture, massage therapy, physiotherapy, or chiropractic care.

Step 3
Book your treatment plan.
