Pregnancy Massage

A Sanctuary for You and Your Baby

Pregnancy is a journey of incredible change, and it often comes with unique physical demands on your body. At 4 Elements, our prenatal massage treatments are designed to support you through every trimester, focusing on the health and comfort of both mother and baby. We understand that as your body shifts, your needs change too—which is why we don't use a "standard" routine. Instead, we listen to your concerns and adapt our techniques to provide the most relief and relaxation possible.

Our Registered Massage Therapists are trained in specific prenatal positioning and safety protocols to ensure you are fully supported throughout your session. Whether you are dealing with lower back strain, swelling, or simply the fatigue that comes with preparing for a new arrival, we are here to help you feel grounded. We want you to leave our clinic feeling lighter, more comfortable, and better prepared for the path ahead.

Caring for Your Physical Comfort

Pregnancy massage is a gentle, non-invasive way to manage the common discomforts that arise as your baby grows. By focusing on circulation and soft tissue health, we can help alleviate many of the stresses placed on your joints and muscles.

Relieving Back & Hip Pain: Targeted work to ease the strain on your lower back and hips as your center of gravity shifts.

Reducing Swelling: Gentle techniques to stimulate the lymphatic system and reduce edema in the legs, ankles, and hands.

Emotional Balance: Dedicated time for self-care to help reduce anxiety and support your overall mental well-being during this transition.

Common Concerns About Prenatal Care

Enjoy a calming, comfortable experience designed to help your body relax while your therapist works to relieve tension and restore balance.

Is massage safe during all trimesters?

Yes, massage is generally safe throughout your entire pregnancy. However, we always recommend a quick chat with your doctor or midwife before starting, especially if you have a high-risk pregnancy or specific medical concerns. We adapt our pressure and positioning based on which trimester you are in.

**Please specify on your initial intake form that you are expecting. Selecting a pregnancy massage instead of a regular service will allow us to send you the correct intake form.

How will I be positioned during the massage?

Your comfort and safety are our priorities. Most prenatal sessions are performed in a side-lying position, supported by pillows and bolsters to ensure your spine is aligned and there is no pressure on your abdomen. This is widely considered the safest and most comfortable way to receive a massage while pregnant.

Can massage help with postpartum recovery too?

Absolutely. Postnatal massage is a wonderful tool for helping your body recover after delivery. It can help balance your hormones, reduce muscle tension from carrying and nursing your baby, and support your emotional health during the first few months of motherhood.
