Cupping Services

Creating Space for Recovery

While most massage techniques involve pressing down on the muscles, cupping does the opposite. By creating a gentle vacuum, the cups lift the skin and superficial muscle layers upward. This process helps to separate stuck tissues and create space for fresh blood and nutrients to reach areas of chronic tension. At 4 Elements, we use cupping as a supportive tool to help "unstick" stubborn knots and encourage your lymphatic system to move more efficiently

We know that new treatments can sometimes feel a bit mysterious, but our goal is to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Our therapists carefully control the level of suction to ensure the sensation is restorative rather than overwhelming. Whether we use stationary cups for a specific "hot spot" or gliding cups to cover larger areas like your back, we are here to help you find a deeper level of relief than traditional hand-work can sometimes reach on its own.

How Cupping Supports Your Wellness

Cupping is a versatile therapy that can be integrated into your regular massage or enjoyed as a standalone treatment. It is particularly effective for those who feel "tight" or "compressed" from daily stress or physical activity.

Myofascial Release: Helps break up adhesions and "stuck" connective tissue that limit your range of motion.

Deep Tissue Relief: Reaches the deeper layers of muscle without the need for heavy, painful pressure.

Enhanced Circulation: Draws fresh, oxygenated blood to the surface to speed up the healing of tired or strained muscles.

What to Expect During Your Session

Enjoy a calming, comfortable experience designed to help your body relax while your therapist works to relieve tension and restore balance.

Will it leave marks on my skin?

It is common for cupping to leave circular discolorations. These aren't bruises in the traditional sense, but rather a sign that stagnant blood and toxins have been drawn to the surface. These marks are usually painless and typically fade within a few days to a week, depending on your body's circulation.

Does the treatment hurt?

Most clients describe the feeling as a "tight pulling" or a "stretching" sensation that is actually quite relaxing. We always communicate with you during the session to make sure the suction level feels beneficial and comfortable for your specific needs.

Can I combine cupping with a regular massage?

Definitely. In fact, many of our clients prefer this. We can use the cups to "prime" a specific area of tension, making it much easier for the therapist to work the muscles by hand afterward.
